4 Money Pinching Tips That Will Help You Live Better

We all spend so much time figuring out how we can more money to enjoy life better.  But we often overlook the aspect of what we spend.  If you look at any wealthy individual they usually have their expenses tightened to save as much as possible.  With the 4 tips below, you can save yourself thousands of dollars a year to spend towards that much needed vacation, or to put away for a rainy day.

Coffee.  Its big business in North America and we all know why. Spending 2-3 dollars a day for a cup of coffee will eat up your savings quick!  Just by brewing your own coffee and taking it with you in a reusable mug you can save yourself over $500 a year!

Making your own meals.  Just be creating a weekly meal plan, and sticking to it, you can save yourself big money.  If you take the money you spend ordering pizza or Chinese food, and spend it on groceries, you will find you have extra money in your pocket at the end of each month.  It takes planning and determination, but this alone can save you over $1000 a Year!

Drive Slower.  Seems simple, but can be a HUGE saving.  In the US, research shows every 10 mph you drive over 60mph is like adding 54 cents to the price per gallon of gas.  Now add up how fast you drive, and your weekly gallons used.  That can add up quick!  This alone will save you hundreds of dollars a year!

This one is a bit different, but ads up quick.  Plan ahead and each month set aside one weekend as a “No Spend Weekend”.  This means you will spend NO money.  You can find activities like hiking, free local concerts, the park, or just doing work around the house.  This philosophy alone can save you up to $2000 a year based on what you currently spend on a weekend.

These tips are designed to open your eyes to the fact that you are wealthier than you think, you just need to adjust your spending to realize more from your earnings.  Take the time today to plan out a few things, and most importantly, set yourself a reward for your savings.  Maybe that Mexican all inclusive vacation, or the month touring Greece you have been thinking of.
